Axia Women's Health in Oradell, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse Fertility - Generalist to coordinate patient care in the fertility setting, from pre-op to post-op, including phlebotomy and injections. Cross-cover in OR for egg retrievals/embryo transfers may be required.

Requirements: NJ RN license, accredited nursing program, and at least 2 years as an RN in fertility; CPR certification and EMR experience are preferred. Flexibility to work at satellite locations and full-time benefits offered.

• Position: Registered Nurse Fertility - Full Time
• Location: Oradell, NJ; occasional in Livingston, NJ
• Hours: Mon/Wed/Fri 6 am to 4 pm and T/TH 8 am to 1 pm with flexibility to start earlier than 8 am on Tuesday and Thursday should a procedure time start earlier than anticipated.

The RN Generalist - Fertility is responsible for the coordination of patient care and is an important participant in policy and procedure implementations as they relate to medical services for nursing staff, both in person and via telephone. Duties include chaperoning patient care during early morning monitoring hours, patient education, processing medications, assisting with pre-op and post-op, patient instructions.

• Welcoming new patients to the center and explaining logistics of their care and how the office works.
• Patient education and injection training.
• Patient phone calls/reviewing instructions.
• Covering the PACU pre-op and post-op care as well as cross cover cases in the OR (egg retrievals, embryo transfers, hysteroscopies and D&Cs).
• Assisting with prior approvals for meds as needed.
• Advocatning for patients and function as middle support between providers and patients
• Following established triage protocols and guidelines to evaluate and assess patient healthcare needs based on signs and symptoms.
• Accurately documenting signs/vitals, symptoms, and complaints, nursing assessment, provided advice, and patient response into the EMR.
• Pulling labs/imaging results and adds to the EMR and consults with physicians on all results of testing.
• Obtaining appropriate input and direction from Axia provider, as needed, to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient care.
• Educating patients and families about prescribed follow ups, medications, therapies, and teaches self-injection techniques as needed.
• Following policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as to improve healthcare outcomes of patients.
• Assisting, as needed, with phone triage.
• Assisting with medication refill requests.

Qualities & Skills:

• Computer skills and knowledge of EMR.
• Comfortability performing phlebotomy.

Education & Experience:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program required.
• Active New Jersey RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 year experience working as an RN in a fertility setting, required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• CPR Certification.
• Ability to be flexible with schedule and to work at satellite locations, if applicable, as scheduled.
• Previous experience with eClinicalWorks (EMR) beneficial.
• Knowledge of lab order sets beneficial.
• Knowledge of CPT coding beneficial.
