Job summary

CM Metals NJ LLC in Dover, NJ is seeking a Ferrous Grader/Material Picker to join our scrap metal recycling yard. You will grade and pick ferrous materials and support daily operations in a busy yard environment, with outdoor work and some heavy lifting involved. The role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to interact with the public.

Training is provided; local travel not required. English is required; Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• English language required for daily operations.
• Spanish language preferred for visitor interactions.
• Good communication and people skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Identify and grade scrap metals accurately.
• Pick material upgrades from ferrous piles.
• Operate skid steer and front loader as needed.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
• Interact with the general public with professional conduct.
• Assist yard maintenance and safety practices.
• Safely guide customers in and out of yard.

Ferrous Grader/Material Picker in Dover, NJ

CM Metals NJ is a growing scrap metal recycling business serving the NJ/NY/Metropolitan region. We are currently looking for a hard working, motivated individual to fill a ferrous grader/picking position at our Dover, NJ yard. The position is for material grading/material picking in our ferrous department.

Work Duties after training include:

• Identification and grading of all scrap metals
• Picking out material upgrades from ferrous pilesUsing skid steer and front loader
• Outdoors regardless of weather
• Good communication and people skills to interact with general public
• Some heavy lifting is involved
• Yard maintenance
• Safely guide customers in and out of yard
