Job summary

Yonder Cider Co. in Wenatchee, WA is seeking an assistant cidermaker to help execute fermentation, assist the Cidermaker, and support day-to-day operations of the facility.

The role involves working with multiple apple varieties, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring production runs smoothly. Responsibilities include fermentation management, presses coordination, lab analysis support, and inventory maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum one to two years beverage production experience.
• Working knowledge of fermentation and fermentation protocols.
• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
• Superior time management skills and ability to multitask.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to continually move, lift, and manipulate up to 55 pounds, as well as stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute fermentation and filtration processes.
• Juice inoculations and ingredient additions.
• Operate pumps to transfer and rack juice and cider.
• Operate and troubleshoot the cross-flow filter; escalate issues.
• Clean and sanitize tanks, parts and hoses before and after use.
• Monitor fermentations; daily gravity checks and temperature control.
• Assist in planning pressing schedule based on demand and tank availability.
• Assist in pressing operations and the pressing lead as needed.
• Maintain cider quality by sampling, testing and tasting.
