Ferguson Elementary School Paraprofessional – Title 1 in Klamath Falls, Oregon is seeking a paraprofessional to support Title 1 instructional programs. Under supervision, you’ll assist teachers, prepare materials, and help with screenings and assessments for students.

Two positions are available. Starting Aug 31, 2026, pay is $18.50–$20.83 per hour, 7 hours/day, 178 days/year, full-time. Requires 48 credits/Associate degree or Praxis passing score; prior labeling as Title 1 support preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide individual and/or small group assistance to Title 1 students to reinforce educational programs and instruction.
• Provide supplemental services to Title 1 students which are supportive of their progress.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and maintenance of required record keeping.
• Assist in the administration of the Title 1 screens and assessments.
• Maintain confidentiality when associated with the Klamath County School District.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Additional duties as assigned by Building Principal, teacher or designee.

Job Description

Under direct supervision of a licensed teacher/Administrator, performs a variety of tasks assisting the teacher/Administrator in development of an instructional program by working with students individually or in small/large groups; prepares instruction materials, maintains classroom discipline and conducts planned activities using teacher-designated methods and materials. Must be highly qualified. Two years of study at an institution of higher education with the ability to provide transcripts showing 48 completed semester credits or 72 completed quarter credits, an Associate’s (or higher) degree, or a passing score on the Praxis exam.

Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations. Work within the district’s communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets. Responsibilities include student safety and security. This position is considered a safety sensitive position.
