Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Environmental Permitting and FERC Specialist to support energy projects from the Pittsburgh or Wexford offices. You will perform permitting, regulatory analysis, and technical reporting for projects including natural gas pipelines, LNG terminals, renewables, and transmission lines.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of relevant experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to lead field activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a natural science or engineering field.
7–10 years of applicable work and/or internship experience.
Ability to direct others in the field (subcontractors) and QA.
Experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Up to 20% travel.
Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare permit applications for energy/industrial facility development, expansion, maintenance, or decommissioning.
Evaluate regulatory requirements.
Maintain records and survey reports.
Produce and review construction documents and specs.
Assist with technical project documents and data manipulation.
Contribute to project plans, schedules, and monthly reporting.
Communicate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders; prepare technical reports and presentations.
