Seegars Fence Co. of Spartanburg is seeking a motivated fence installer for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Training is provided to ensure safety and efficiency on the job.

You will work with various hand and power tools to install fences according to client specifications, while maintaining PPE standards and professional conduct with customers. The position requires ability to read measurements, operate tools safely, and pass pre-employment background checks and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass background check for federal property work.
• Must maintain a First Aid, CPR, safety, forklift and Bobcat certifications (We provide training).
• Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Install fences according to client specifications and project requirements.
• Operate hand and power tools safely (saws, drills, post hole diggers, levels, measuring devices).
• Use PPE properly and consistently.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in training.
• Listen to customers and communicate clearly with them and project management.
• Assist in maintaining the crew truck and equipment.
• Anticipate customer needs and solve issues proactively.
• Read tape measures and levels accurately.
• Arrive on time, prepared to start.

Position Overview

Seegars Fence Co. of Spartanburg is seeking a smart and motivated individual to install various types of fences for residential, commercial, or industrial properties. We will provide training and feedback to help you become a safe and efficient fence installer. Seegars Fence Co. installers are the best in the business, and we want you to join our team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Performance Responsibilities

• The primary responsibility of a fence installer is to install fences according to client specifications and project requirements.
• Fence installers work with a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, post hole diggers, levels, and measuring devices. You must be proficient in operating these tools safely and efficiently.
• Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must maintain a First Aid, CPR, safety, forklift and Bobcat certifications (We provide training) (and others required for equipment operation).
• Must be able to listen to and understand the customer’s needs and clearly communicate with the customer and project management team.
• Assist in maintaining a crew truck and all of the tools and equipment associated with that truck.
• Must anticipate customer needs and job complications and be proactive to prevent or reduce any adverse effects.
• Must be able to install all types of fences offered by SFC.
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and a level.
• Shall dress appropriately with SFC uniform or T Shirt.
• Should never smoke in front of any customer especially residential customers with children.
• Should never use profanity in the presence of the customer. (preferably anyone)
• Is responsible for arriving to work on time, prepared to start immediately.
• Every applicant must undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen. If hired, Updates are required annually.
