Job summary

Scott’s Fencing Co. is seeking a dependable Fence Installer to join our Albuquerque-area team and work outdoors on fencing projects from start to finish.

No prior fencing experience is required, but hands-on construction knowledge is beneficial. Valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and a reliable, team-oriented attitude are essential. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role with on-site duties.

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work areas and lay out fence lines.
• Dig post holes and prepare concrete for fence posts.
• Set and secure fence posts.
• Install fencing materials and related components.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Load, carry, and position materials at job sites; follow Foreman directions.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Help the crew complete projects safely and efficiently.

Job description

Scott’s Fencing Co. is looking for a dependable Fence Installer to join our Albuquerque-area team. This is a hands‑on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using tools, and taking pride in seeing a project come together from start to finish.

Previous fencing experience is helpful, but it is not required. Construction, concrete, welding, landscaping, or other hands‑on trade experience can be valuable. We are also interested in people who are dependable, physically capable, willing to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare work areas and lay out fence lines
• Dig post holes and prepare concrete for fence posts
• Set and secure fence posts
• Install fencing materials and related components
• Use hand and power tools
• Load, carry, and position materials at job sitesFollow direction from the crew Foreman
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Help the crew complete projects safely and efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work a consistent 40-hour Monday-Friday schedule
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work throughout the day
• Ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing 50+ pounds, including overhead lifting when required
• Comfort working with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with a crew
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to travel out of town when project work requires it
• Good communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Previous experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Fence installation
• General construction
• Wood or vinyl fencing
• Welding or metal fabrication
• Concrete work
• Landscaping or other outdoor trades
