Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fence Installation Driver to deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing equipment with a focus on safety and customer service. You’ll operate a fencing truck, perform vehicle and tool inspections, and coordinate with the installation team to meet customer specs.

Responsibilities include setting poles, installing fencing, and handling on-site moves. Some weekend work may be required; CDL preferred but not required. Benefits are available per company policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to drive day or night.
• 1 year of truck driving experience; CDL license preferred; DOT medical card required before starting.
• 2 years fencing/construction experience preferred.
• Diligent safety mindset and knowledge of safe driving procedures.
• Ability to operate a forklift (training provided).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds regularly, with more with assistance.
• Work in various weather conditions; some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Safely operate a fencing truck daily, ensure load is secured.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles.
• Perform pre-use and post-use inspections on fence installation tools.
• Set fence poles and install fence per customer specs.
• Coordinate with Fence Installation Associate and supervise progress.
• Provide onsite moves and fencing material delivery as requested.
• Repair temporary fencing units at job sites.
