Job summary

Nurse Next Door San Mateo is seeking a Home Care Aide for overnight shifts (Mondays and Fridays) to provide one-on-one in-home support. You’ll help with daily living activities, safety, and monitoring health while maintaining a clean, safe home for clients.

Ideal candidates have an HHA program, 1 year of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and CPR certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days. Training & development offered.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable updating digital care logs.
• Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of paid home-health, hospice, or facility experience.
• CPR certification (or willingness to earn within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Personalized Daily Living Assistance – Safely transfer clients, support bathing/grooming, and mobility devices.
• Healthy Home Environment – Change linens, light laundry, keep living areas clean and hazard-free.
• Medication & Wellness Checks – Provide reminders and record vitals or observations.
• Mind-Body Engagement – Read aloud, reminisce, or guide simple chair-exercises.
