Washington County is seeking Legal Specialist II to join the Felony Team. The role provides expert legal support to designated attorneys, handling files, discovery, and trial prep.

Duties include processing police reports, subpoenas, and court filings while maintaining high accuracy in a demanding, high-volume setting. Ideal candidates will have advanced knowledge of legal terminology, case management software (PbK preferred), and strong organizational skills to prioritize deadlines and work

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; four (4) years of experience providing administrative or clerical support, two (2) years in a legal support role in a law office or in an office with a focus on legal issues; OR
• Four (4) years of experience providing administrative or clerical support, one (1) year in a prosecutor's office.
• A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field or a Paralegal certificate may substitute for two (2) years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide highly skilled and journey-level legal support to designated attorneys.
• Prepare files and legal documents; manage discovery and digital evidence; assist in criminal or civil trial preparation.
• Case intake and preparation by organizing police reports, providing copies to the defense, filing documents with the court, preparing subpoenas for victims and witnesses, and preparing files for court.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment; multi-task and re-prioritize based on deadlines.
• DA Office PbK case management system experience is highly preferred.
