Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our growing orthopedic surgery team. You will diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries with operative and non-operative approaches, supported by advanced surgical technology.

You will participate in trauma call coverage, collaborate with trauma surgeons and other specialists, mentor residents and APPs, and contribute to clinical program development within Virtua Medical Group

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Experience in managing complex trauma cases.
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and surgical management of orthopedic trauma patients.
• Participate in trauma call coverage and emergency orthopedic services.
• Perform operative and non-operative treatment of acute musculoskeletal injuries.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers, residents, and medical students, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
• Contribute to departmental growth through clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and community engagement.
