Job summary

Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics in New Jersey seeks a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our expanding team. You will diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of injuries, including complex fractures and polytrauma, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary staff dedicated to outstanding patient outcomes.

The role offers access to advanced surgical tech, dedicated trauma OR time, and a strong referral network.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Experience in managing complex trauma cases.
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and surgical management of orthopedic trauma patients.
• Participate in trauma call coverage and emergency orthopedic services.
• Perform operative and non-operative treatment of acute musculoskeletal injuries.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers, residents, and medical students, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
• Contribute to departmental growth through clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and community engagement.
