Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, seeks a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist physician to join our full-time academic practice with a Level 1 trauma program.

The selected candidate will be a full-time faculty member in the Department of Orthopaedics and Therapy Services and hold an academic rank at the College of Medicine. Qualifications include MD or DO, BE/BC in Orthopaedic Surgery, and fellowship in Hand/Wrist.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • BE/BC in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Hand/Wrist
  • Excellent patient care abilities and interest in teaching as well as participation in clinical research
  • Participation in the Level One Hand trauma call coverage schedule (includes microvascular work)

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care as part of the orthopaedic hand and wrist service
  • Teach residents and fellows in a busy academic center
  • Engage in clinical research and scholarly activity
  • Cover Level One hand trauma calls as required
