Job summary

Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix seeks an MD or DO cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiology with a structural heart focus. You will work exclusively in the hospital setting with high-volume cases and autonomy to scrub into TAVR, TEER/MitraClip, ASD/PFO closures, TMVR and more, under a team of five structural heart interventionalists.

Position Highlights

• Specialty: Interventional Cardiology with structural heart focus
• Setting: Exclusively hospital-based at Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital — no clinic requirement
• Case Volume: Close to 900 total structural heart cases completed in 2025
• Procedure Mix: TAVR, TEER/MitraClip, ASD/PFO closures, TMVR, tricuspid valve procedures, VSD closures, Watchman/LAAO
• Team: Supported by 5 total structural heart interventionalists within the group
• Call: One weekend of interventional call per month — the only call requirement
• Academic Engagement: Biweekly TAVR case conferences; teaching responsibilities with residents and cardiology fellows
• Research: Active participation expected, including at least one publication submission
• Mentorship: Direct collaboration with Dr. Byrne (Market Medical Director, Cardiac Services; clinical trials PI) and Dr. Loli (Designated Institutional Officer for GME; cardiovascular fellowship core faculty)
