Stanford University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Training Fellow in Clinical Psychiatry and Psychology to advance functional neuroimaging in depression and precision medicine. The role emphasizes leadership in imaging analyses, integrating imaging with behavioral and clinical outcomes, and guiding computational models.
You will collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to high-impact publications, leveraging multi-band fMRI, task and resting-state analyses, and advanced
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a well-trained postdoctoral scientist who is motivated to develop and apply expertise in functional neuroimaging in precision medicine studies in depression. Especially sought are candidates with expertise in functional imaging analyses of both single and multi-band imaging task data, collected over multiple time points, and with a particular interest in mood and cognitive states. The candidate will work on a priority-funded project in which individuals with depression are assessed with functional neuroimaging, cognitive behavioral, and symptom measures before, during, and after treatment. Treatment includes both selectively targeted pharmacotherapy and TMS.
This project is led by Stanford University. The postdoctoral scientist will work within a thriving and interdisciplinary team of faculty investigators, postdocs, research coordinators, and clinicians. The projects also involve exciting collaborations with leaders at other institutions. The expectation will be that the postdoctoral scientist leads imaging data analyses, integrating imaging with behavioral and clinical outcomes, and deploying computational models evaluating causal and predictive relationships. The post-doctoral scientist will drive peer-reviewed publications from the outcomes and have scientific leadership in project management. There may be related opportunities to develop neuroimaging analyses from the large existing datasets available through the lab and center.
