GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Research Fellow is a full-time, temporary position (not to exceed five years) responsible for conducting advanced independent and/or directed research programs. The fellow will work on translational research projects under the guidance of the principal investigator or program director. The role requires in-depth knowledge of a technical field, process, or discipline, and involves developing, implementing, and executing research plans, data collection and analysis, and documenting findings in technical reports. The fellow must quickly identify data trends or experimental shortcomings to adjust research strategies without constant supervision.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct high-fidelity experiments aligned with research objectives. (40%)
  • Gather and analyze data from literature and experiments to support hypotheses. (25%)
  • Assist in writing research publications, presentations, and grant proposals. (20%)
  • Support the investigator in managing research staff and maintaining research facilities as needed. (10%)
  • Perform additional duties such as representing the lead investigator at scientific conferences and meetings. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • BA/BS Degree
