Job summary

Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group in California's Central Valley invites physicians who completed an ACGME residency in Emergency Medicine to join a 12-month Junior Faculty Fellow in Medical Education and Healthcare Simulation with focus in Global Health. The fellow will split time between clinical practice and academic development.

This full-time role offers protected scholarly time, supervision of residents, and mentorship with a path to leadership in clinician-education.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completed ACGME-accredited residency in Emergency Medicine.
• Board eligible or board certified in primary specialty.
• Eligible for unrestricted California medical license.
• Commitment to medical education and clinical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in the Central Valley Emergency Departments.
• Supervise residents and medical students during shifts.
• Provide bedside instruction, feedback, and assessment.
• Participate in the residency program's academic mission.
• Develop and implement simulation- and education-focused activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities related to medical education.
