Job summary

Crctech is seeking a Fellow Engineer - Mechanical Process Design for a long-term contract in the United States. The role involves engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design outputs including Process Flow, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, System Descriptions, Mechanical Equipment Lists, and related sizing and failure analyses.

  • MS with ~12 years in relevant design.
  • BS with ~15 years of design experience and PE eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analysis and design development.
  • Generate design output documents: Process Flow, P&ID, System Descriptions, Equipment Lists.
  • Conduct FEM, pipe stress, and ASME Code evaluations; review vendor docs.

Fellow Engineer - Mechanical Process Design

Long Term (1 Year Contract with two 1-Year Extension options)

Job Description

Engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output

documents including but not limited to: Process Flow; Piping and

Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists;

Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis;

Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation;

Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC

Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.

Incorporate advanced technical practices to develop solutions for a variety of

complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of

new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight

requirements

Requirements

Ph.D. degree and about 10 years' experience. OR A MS degree and 12 years' experience. OR A BS degree and approximately 15 years' experience. BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

15 years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.

10 years of experience working at one or more DOE facilities.

Candidate must demonstrate experience creating and revising documentation in one or more of the following areas: Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.

Preferred

Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred

Previous SRS Design Engineering experience and working knowledge of SRNS design processes and procedures.

401k: 4% point-for-point contribution match after six months of employment

Expense Reimbursement: Expense reimbursement is available for out-of-town candidates. Expenses are reimbursed per U.S. GSA FY 2026 per diem rates for Aiken/Greenville, South Carolina ($178/day)
