Job summary

• Must have compassionate nursing care skills and cat-focused care.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficient in medical math calculations (drugs, dosages, conversions).
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and assist with surgeries.
• Strong time management and multitasking capabilities.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care including diagnostic sample collection, catheter placement, venipuncture, radiography, dental radiology, and prophylaxis.
• Support veterinarians across preventative, injury, and illness visits.
• Assist with patient procedures and surgeries including anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Obtain health histories and document accurately in EMR.
• Mentor fellow team members and continually advance knowledge.
• Maintain calm handling to soothe cats during examinations and procedures.
