Job summary

Cat Care of Fayette, a private feline-exclusive practice in Fayette County, GA, is seeking a second veterinarian to join a close-knit team. You’ll work with the owner to deliver compassionate feline care, including wellness, illness, and urgent care, with room to expand into advanced procedures.

New grads are welcome, and onboarding includes a shadow period followed by a supportive schedule. Benefits include a 4-day work week, PTO, CE allowance, and licensing support.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent from a licensed university.
• Licensed in Georgia or eligible licensure to practice.
• Passion for feline medicine and low-stress handling.

Job description

Cat Care of Fayette is a privately owned, feline-exclusive practice in Fayette County, GA (south metro Atlanta) that also cares for exotic small mammals (10-12% caseload). At the end of 2026 we're moving into a brand-new, expanded facility with a dedicated surgery suite, imaging room, endoscopy space, 4 exam rooms, and a boutique boarding suite next door. We offer seasonal mobile services to promote cat-friendly comfort as well. We're looking for our second doctor to grow with us. We're a small, close-knit, independent team. You'll work directly with the owner, a veterinarian who started here as a technician and now leads the practice.

Daily work includes

• Seeing wellness, sick and urgent care appointments
• Routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry, with room to grow into/ offer advanced procedures. We perform PUs and FHOs and are launching in-house endoscopy.
• Work up cases thoroughly. We practice medicine based on what each patient needs, not volume targets.
• See exotic patients if you're interested. Experience is welcome but not required, and we're happy to teach.
• Mentorship, not micromanagement
• You'll have an owner-DVM who loves working up cases together and keeps an open door, plus the freedom to practice your own medicine.

New grads are welcome. Onboarding is hands-on: a shadow period first, then your own schedule with breathing room built in while you settle in.
