Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and 1–2 years related experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Database software.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees on a limited basis and assist with hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
• Assist in department duties related to cattle, feed, mill, and yard responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations; maintain records.
• Set a positive example by following safety rules and training employees.
• Participate in department budgeting and manage expenses by reviewing data.
• Manage inventory of department supplies and approve orders.
