Job Details

Summary:

The position is responsible for studying individual customer and industry business processes, identifying customer and key influencer objectives, and adapting the specified technology as needed to meet the customer’s needs. The Business Solutions Analyst provides personalized interviews and consultation, customer training, software system configuration, and technical support to clients to create value and optimize their assets. This individual will act as the primary contact for assigned clients and coordinate all related client service activities on behalf of both the client and Micro.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Use system analysis processes to understand customer procedures and business goals.
2. Configure the MICRO Technology system and develop programs, specifications, and procedures to achieve client goals efficiently.
3. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally regarding system requirements, animal health, and client/veterinarian results.
4. Coordinate schedules and complete work orders for system installation, including hardware specifications handed off to the Field Hardware IT team.
5. Responsible for system configuration, data loading, quality assurance, testing, and client training on the system.
6. Train clients on product inventory management and FDA compliance guidelines.
7. Install software packages, including operating systems, database engines, and word processing systems onto client computers.
8. Develop and communicate operational procedures related to the Micro Technology system.
9. Understand client requirements, design custom solutions, and create business requirement documents for development teams.
10. Evaluate and test software prototypes and final products to ensure client requirements are met.
11. Modify system software and train clients on updates.
12. Implement remote access connectivity.
13. Provide ongoing evaluation of the system and hardware, and suggest enhancements.
14. Monitor system performance, present findings, and recommend process changes.
15. Detect potential software or process issues and collaborate with development teams for solutions.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s degree or 2 years of college experience in Animal Science, Feedlot Management, Nutrition, or related fields. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in feed yard feed management, working knowledge of PCs, operating systems, databases, and software engines, and a general understanding of cattle and agricultural processes. Valid driver’s license and frequent travel (including overnight travel up to 50%) within the US are required.
