Job summary

Furst-McNess Company in Storm Lake, IA is seeking a Production Operator to safely run production equipment and package feed and mineral products. The role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to GMP in a fast-paced onsite environment.

The ideal candidate will read work instructions, lift up to 70 lbs, operate a forklift or pallet jack, and contribute to daily plant operations with a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Be able to succeed within and adhere to the culture of the company.
• Education equivalent to high school diploma and six months of basic manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English and perform basic calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and operate pallets/jacks safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing, production, and packaging equipment.
• Package product and stack bags or bulk product onto pallets.
• Measure, prepare and add materials according to work instructions.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods.
• Support mixing or production processes as trained.
• Load and unload bulk materials from trucks or deliveries.
• Complete production, quality, and safety documentation on time.
• Follow GMP and regulatory requirements; maintain clean, safe work area.
