Standard Nutrition Services in Bancroft, IA is seeking a Feed Mill Technician to operate the feed mill, run computer automation, grind, mix and pellet ingredients, and ensure production adheres to SOPs.
You will perform quality checks, maintenance, housekeeping, load trucks, sample ingredients, and comply with policies and regulations. The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds and working Monday–Friday 7:00 am–4:00 pm with overtime as needed.
The Feed Mill Technician is responsible for manufacturing feed in accordance with standard operating procedures established at the feed mill. This role will be responsible for operating the computer automation systems required to process ingredients, grind grains, mix and pellet feed, as well as operating the processing of equipment according to established standard operating procedures. In addition to feed manufacturing, the Feed Mill Technician will perform housekeeping activities, maintenance and repair of equipment, and quality checks on feed and ingredients. This role is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

This position generally works Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime required as needed based on production and maintenance needs. Work is performed in a feed mill environment that may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures (heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions).
The Feed Mill Technician must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds on a regular basis and perform tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching, and climbing ladders and/or equipment. This role may also require working on elevated platforms and, at times, in confined spaces. Frequent use of one or both hands and arms is required for activities such as grasping, pushing, and pulling. In addition, the Feed Mill Technician must be able to operate a pallet jack to move materials weighing up to 2,000 pounds.
