3rd Shift Feed Mill Technician

Department/Location:

Hedrick, Iowa

Starting Pay:

$20.75

JBS Live Pork Hedrick is looking for a full-time 3rd shift Feed Mill Production Technician.

Responsibilities include:
  • Run multiple pieces of equipment, e.g., grinders, batching scales, mixers, feed cleaners, pellet mills, coolers.
  • Samples and receives ingredients by truck, monitors ingredient inventory levels.
  • Manufacture feeds to meet specifications and food safety requirements.
  • Schedule production based on priorities and customer demands.
  • Keep accurate, legible records.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks, maintain a clean workplace.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to read/comprehend English and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Good math skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Computer knowledge.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional weekend work may be necessary. Any other duties assigned by management.

Preferred:
  • Prior experience in feed milling.
  • Above average skills in teamwork, decision making, responsibility, and integrity.
