Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a 1st Shift Receiving Clerk for the Harrisonburg, VA feed mill. You will unload corn trains, rail cars, and trucks, print tickets, and keep the reclaim system running. You may assist in other mill areas as needed and must work well with others in a dusty environment.

The role requires basic reliability and willingness to work overtime, with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekend work. Base pay is listed with attendance incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Ability to operate machinery including Train locomotive.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Excellent attendance, safety and work record.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Able to work well with others and without direct supervision.
• Able to work in a dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload corn trains (75–150 cars/week).
• Unload other rail cars (20–50/week).
• Unload bulk ingredients trucks (≈20/week).
• Unload bag ingredients trucks.
• Load out corn trucks.
• Print receiving/load-out scale tickets.
• Keep corn reclaim system running.
• Clean receiving and other mill areas.
• Fill in other mill areas as needed.

Feed Mill Receiving Clerk- 1st Shift

Harrisonburg, VA

Position Summary:

• Unload corn trains-We receive 75 to 150 cars per week


• Unload other rall cars — 20 to 50 cars per week


• Unload bulk ingredients trucks -We receive around 20 trucks per week


• Unload bag ingredients trucks


• Load out corn trucks


• Print receiving and load out scale tickets


• Keep corn re-claim system running


• Clean in the receiving and other areas of the mill


• Fill in other areas in the mill as needed

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma preferred
