Job summary

Foster Farms in Traver, CA is seeking a Receiver at the Belgravia Complex. This is a full-time, on-site role involving unloading rail cars and trailers, taking quality samples, and maintaining accurate receiving records at the Traver facility.

The position requires operating transfer and grinding systems, performing routine inspections, and supporting OSHA dust-control procedures. Lifting up to 100 pounds and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible, rotating hours/shifts, including weekends.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision, learning new concepts quickly.
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of computers is desirable.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Unload rail cars, hopper bottom, and walking floor trailers and ensure the product is put into the correct holding bins.
• Take samples for quality assurance.
• Take inventories for Production needs.
• Understand and operate the transfer system and the whole corn grinding systems.
• Routine inspections of all receiving and grinding systems to ensure proper operations and minimize downtime.
• Maintain housekeeping records to meet OSHA requirements and keep dust to a minimum.
