Job summary

PIPESTONE in Hopkinton, IA is seeking a hands-on Feed Mill Operator to grind and manufacture complete feed, load trucks, and monitor grain quality. The role supports daily operations and upkeep of milling equipment.

You’ll work with a team to ensure accuracy of production paperwork and assist with maintenance. This position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits including health insurance, PTO and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Feed, grain handling, manufacturing, or automation experience preferred.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Outlook.
• Experience with mill batching software is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Grind and manufacture complete feed.
• Load feed trucks and unload ingredient deliveries.
• Refill micro tables and weigh hand-add ingredients.
• Monitor grain quality and storage conditions.
• Complete production paperwork accurately.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Support mill efficiency and daily operations.
• Perform facility upkeep and other projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance as needed
• Standing and walking 8-10 hours per day
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and kneeling
