Job summary

PIPESTONE in Hopkinton, IA is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to join our team and help operate the mill, batch ingredients, and ensure smooth daily production. You will monitor storage conditions, assist with equipment maintenance, and complete production paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in feed, grain handling, manufacturing, or automation is a plus.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (MS Office/Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

• Grind and manufacture complete feed.
• Load feed trucks and unload ingredient deliveries.
• Refill micro tables and weigh hand-add ingredients.
• Monitor grain quality and storage conditions.
• Complete production paperwork accurately.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Support mill efficiency and daily operations.
• Perform facility upkeep and other projects as assigned.

What You'll Do:

• Grind and manufacture complete feed

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Feed, grain handling, manufacturing, or automation experience preferred
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Outlook
• Experience with mill batching software is a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance as needed
• Standing and walking 8-10 hours per day
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and kneeling
