Core Responsibilities:
  • Learn, demonstrate capability and knowledge, and become certified in all feed manufacturing department areas, including fulfilling all requirements listed under the Feed Mill Operator job description.
  • Gain a solid understanding of and ability to implement company systems such as receiving, batching, and load out.
  • Perform and master all hourly jobs under supervision, becoming certified in each after demonstrating competence and understanding.
  • Develop rapport and positive relationships with all personnel and management.
  • Develop employee management skills.
  • Gain experience in leadership processes and challenges.
  • Prepare reports on experiences encountered and share opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain active licenses to operate forklifts, certified weigh master, and grain grading.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management according to standards.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform frequent stooping, bending, and climbing.
  • Work a shift starting at 5 am, typically 4 days of 12-hour shifts per week, with possible night shifts and weekends.
  • Follow all environmental laws and procedures applicable to Murphy Brown LLC.
  • Report environmental issues immediately to supervisors.
  • Review and understand the company's emergency notification process.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Feed Manufacturing, Nutritional Sciences, or a related field, or current college student with anticipated graduation by the end of the current semester, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented attitude to foster a positive work environment.
