Job summary

Pilgrim's is looking for a Feedmill Maintenance Person responsible for maintaining equipment in the Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will collaborate well in a proactive maintenance team and is expected to operate machines and manage records.

This role requires lifting heavy objects, working in various temperatures, and flexibility in hours, including weekends. Experience in food production and mechanical skills is preferred for success in this demanding position.

Qualifications

• Prefer at least two years' experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions and work in cool temperatures.
• Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields is preferred.

Position Summary: The individual selected for this position will assumeall duties of Feedmill Maintenance Person.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Must be able to work well with others, communication with others, and have good decision-making ability.
2. Desire to be part of aproactive, motivated maintenance team.
3. Individual will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of machines in the Maintenance Dept.
4. Individual will be trained to do other jobs in the department.
5. Must be able to lift 85 lbs. and be able to work at high heights.
6. Must be able to do administrative duties and records,ie(P.M’s, logs, etc.)
7. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and humidity.
8. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and possibly have to work different shifts (day, evening, or night).
9. Must be willing to travel to other locations for projects.
10. Must be willing to get pipe certification in welding.
11. Prefer at least two years’ experience. Must complete a successful background check.
12. Other duties as directed.

Basic Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
• Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields is preferred.Must have mechanical ability, mechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to apply common sense.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
• Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
• Must have good communication skills.
• Good hand and eye coordination required.
• Food or production experience preferred.
