Job summary

Tenable, Inc. is hiring a Software/Site Reliability Engineer for FedRAMP workloads in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will scale and self-manage the cloud platform for government and private cloud customers, enhancing reliability and automation.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in SRE, Terraform IaC, Kubernetes, and cloud experience; you will collaborate across teams to improve security, performance, and incident response, while advancing FedRAMP compliance and best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of SRE experience.
• Apply core software engineering fundamentals to reliability and scalability at a distributed level.
• Currently reside in / or able to work remotely from the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC technologies.
• Curiosity toward emerging engineering tech and AI-augmented development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Tenable cloud products are reliable and highly available in cloud environments.
• Respond to support escalations and resolve data/configuration issues within SLAs.
• Develop software, tools, and scripts to automate deployment, management, and monitoring of production systems.
• Collaborate with peers on complex projects and with cloud engineers on new technologies.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle to define requirements and take them to production.
• Create efficiencies in operations with tools and automation.
