Job summary

Orca Security in the United States seeks a hands-on DevOps Lead (FedRAMP) to own the federal environment across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and more. You’ll set technical direction, write the infrastructure code, and build a small US-based team while staying deeply involved in operations.

You bring 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong AWS GovCloud experience, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python automation, and fluency with NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure with production ownership.
• Deep AWS experience, including GovCloud, and understanding of differences from commercial.
• Kubernetes in production experience.
• Terraform and infrastructure as code at scale.
• Automation in Python or equivalent.
• Fluency in NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 with mapping to implementations.
• Vulnerability management in a regulated environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English for federal engagement.
• Based in the United States with access to the authorized environment.
• Comfortable collaborating with an Israel-based R&D organization across hours.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the federal environment across AWS GovCloud, AWS East/West, Azure Government, Azure Commercial, and GCP.
• Write the infrastructure code yourself and set coding standards.
• Design automation to make compliance a byproduct of operations.
• Decide how new platform capabilities land in the federal environment.
• Own production health, monitoring, and incident response.
• Run continuous monitoring end to end, including scanning, POA&M, inventory, and reporting.
• Lead annual assessment and 3PAO engagements from scoping to closure.
• Be Orca’s technical interface to agency security teams and assessors.
• Translate requirements between an agency ISSO and R&D teams.
