Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Security Officer to protect assets and associates in our distribution operations. The role emphasizes access control, incident response, and safety compliance, with full-time hours typically 30+ per week and flexibility based on business needs.

You will join a dynamic environment that rewards teamwork and integrity, with opportunities for growth in loss prevention and operations. Prior security experience and knowledge of FedFlo/EDI systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years prior security experience required.
• Prior DC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FedFlo receiving system.
• Understanding of EDI, ASN, and Direct scan technologies.
• Monday–Friday flexible schedule (discuss at interview).

Responsibilities

• Complete reports such as inbound/outbound trailer logs and discrepancy reports.
• Maintain access control for facility entry/exit.
• Respond to alarm systems.
• Audit common carriers.
• Monitor associates and visitors/truckers activities.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Support management tasks as needed.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect among colleagues and customers.

Job Overview

Responsible for the protection of company assets and associates. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. What You Will Do

• Completion of reports; i.e., inbound/outbound Trailer logs, common carrier logs, discrepancy reports
• Maintain access control of all who enter and exit the facility
• Respond to alarm system
• Conduct audits on common carriers
• Monitor associates activities
• Monitor activities of visitors/truckers
• Enforce all facility rules and regulations
• Any other functions management deems essential
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities

Who You Are

• No specific Education required
• Knowledge of FedFlo receiving system
• Understanding of technology EDI, ASN, Direct scan
• Must be able to maintain confidential information
• 2 years prior security experience
• Prior DC experience

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform

• This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
• May involve reaching above eye level
• Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement

Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances. In all circumstances, testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification.
