Job summary

Abacus Corporation is a family-owned staffing leader providing nationwide workforce solutions. The role focuses on building pallets safely, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and conductingQuality audits in a fast-moving warehouse environment.

You will maintain cold-chain integrity on temperature-controlled loads, communicate quality issues to operations, and handle occasional heavy lifting in a cold environment. Training and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift, pallet jack, or Vocollect.
• Able to lift 20–50 lbs and work in cool environments.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets safely and efficiently to minimize damage and maximize trailer space.
• Operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and Vocollect.
• Perform order audits to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards/specifications for products.
• Inform operations of daily quality issues using reports and communications.

• Work in cold temperatures and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Objective of this role:

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently in a manner that minimizes product damage in transportation and maximizes trailer space.
• Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; this may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality
• Maintain knowledge of all quality standards/specifications and requirements for all products
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports as well as other forms of necessary communication
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads that have temperature requirements
• May work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 20-25 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently

Preferred experience:

• Previous experience with operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect
