Overview

Independent Fedex Ground Contractor looking for delivery drivers who have experience with trucks/step vans (CDL not required). If you have 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience in the past 3 years of a like size vehicle - a box truck (at least 14ft), straight truck or step van - we offer a full time position. Drivers load and unload packages in a fast-paced team environment and ensure that packages are delivered on time and with care. Work is 5 days a week, 7am till finished. Must pass final road test in order to get approved.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older; valid driver's license; eligible to work in the US.
• One year verifiable commercial driving experience in the past 3 years with a vehicle of similar size (box truck at least 14ft, straight truck, or step van).
• Physically fit (capable of lifting at least 70 lb).
• Ability to pass medical exam and drug test.
• No DWI; no license suspensions or revocations; no reckless or aggressive driving (no more than 15 mph over speed limit or no driving above 80 mph).
• No more than 2 moving violations in 12 months; no operating a vehicle while texting, emailing, or using a cell phone (no cellphone tickets within past 3 years); no more than 2 accidents.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to comprehend numbers and information to sort and deliver packages correctly.
• Ability to scan packages, read labels and charts, and memorize routes.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as hand trucks, dollies, and hand-held scanners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
