UTMB Health in Galveston, TX seeks a Federal Work Study Student for the School of Nursing RISE Center. You will support literature searches, reviews, and data extraction under faculty supervision.

Responsibilities include screening articles, assisting with tables and figures, coding transcripts with NVivo/Atlas.ti, and helping recruit participants for clinical studies, with additional duties as assigned. This is a part-time, student position offering valuable hands-on experience in research

• Assist with preparing tables, figures, or synthesis documents.
• Code transcripts using qualitative analysis software such as NVivo, Atlas.ti, or Excel.
• Work with study leads to create research participant recruitment materials for clinical research studies.
• Assist with database creation, file organization, and contacting potential stakeholders.
• Excel data entry and conduct preliminary data analysis under direction of faculty.
• Other duties assigned.

• Conduct systematic searches of academic databases (e.g., PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO), literature reviews, perform scoping reviews, and help write literature review summaries.

• Screen and review full-text articles, and participate in decision/disagreement resolution for systematic reviews, and complete data extraction using Covidence.

• Assist with preparing tables, figures, or synthesis documents.

• Code transcripts using qualitative analysis software such as NVivo, Atlas.ti, or Excel.

• Work with study leads to create research participant recruitment materials for clinical research studies.

• Assist with database creation, file organization, and contacting potential stakeholders.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
