Federal Work Study Student Job Announcement

Position: Federal Work Study – IT Department

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Financial Aid

Reports to: Shirley Moon Financial Aid Coordinator

Salary/Benefits: $10.00 per hour maximum 19.5 hour week. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities

Work with Information Technology staff to image computers, work on trouble tickets and network problems, and assist with upgrading software.

• Ability to occasionally lift and carry 5-44 lbs
• Occasional bending
• Able to see and read PC screens on a daily basis
• Understand what clients are saying in normal conversation
• Finger and hand dexterity necessary to service computers and peripherals on a daily basis

Errands on campus as needed. Keep printers stocked. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a registered student currently. Current student at Athens Technical College. Must maintain registration of minimum 6 credit hours each semester.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enrolled student in eligible program of study.
• Complete financial aid file verified by Office of Financial Aid.
