Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown is seeking a Federal Work Study Custodial Services Assistant. The role involves cleaning campus facilities, vacuums, mopping, restroom restocking, and assisting with events on a flexible schedule between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Candidates must be enrolled with a 2.0 GPA and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour, with duties performed under the direction of the full-time custodial team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at GTCC with a 2.0 GPA.
• Experience preferred: some knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures and safety.
• KSA: Customer Service and Communication Skills

Job Description

Assists in cleaning campus facilities under the direction of full time custodial team members.
Cleans common areas, office areas, and bathrooms as needed.
Assists with special events including set up and take down.

• Cleans, vacuums, mops assigned areas
• Replaces washroom supplies
• Disenfects surface areas in offices and common areas
• Assists with special events
• Long periods of walking and standing
• Must learn proper cleaning methods and how to use products safely
