Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLC is seeking a Tax Intern for the Summer 2027 season in the United States. You will join the Private Client Services group and support federal and international tax work while gaining hands-on experience on client projects.

This internship develops analytical skills and familiarity with tax regulations, while you collaborate with professionals and participate in meetings. Eligibility requires pursuing a degree and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field.
• Pursuing CPA, JD, or LL.M
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong analytical skills
• High proficiency in spreadsheets
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in future

Responsibilities

• Perform year-end tax projections and financial analyses
• Research federal, international, state, and local tax regs
• Prepare client correspondence on IRS regulations
• Prepare federal and international tax returns for various entities
• Gather data from clients and analyze tax-related information
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations
• Develop economic models for planning and structuring transactions
• Team with colleagues and participate in client meetings
