Job summary

Versa Networks is seeking a Solution Federal Security Solution Architect to help customers evaluate, adopt, and expand the use of our Secure SD-WAN and SSE/SASE technology. The role focuses on architectural design, proof-of-concept validation, and professional services for strategic federal customers.

The position requires active TS/SCI clearance, deep networking expertise across WAN/LAN, and hands-on experience with cloud and security technologies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Experience planning, designing, or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP and network operation.

Responsibilities

• Evangelize technical leadership to customers and partners.
• Provide architectural design services for state-of-the-art SD-WAN deployments with HDL/LLD documentation.
• Perform hands-on tests to validate customer PoC setups, network designs, and deployments with new products and features.
• Provide Professional Services on assignment bases to strategic customers.
• Author whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other customer-facing content.

Job Summary

We are looking for passionate, entrepreneurial, and tech-savvy Solution Federal Security Solution Architect to help our customers and partners evaluate, adopt and expand the use of our technology.

Responsibilities

• Evangelize technical leadership to our customers and partners.
• Provide architectural design services of state-of-art SDWAN deployments, including HLD/LLD documentation.
• Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and feature.
• Provide Professional Services on assignment bases to strategic customers.
• Author whitepapers, knowledge base articles, and other customer/partner facing content.

Qualifications

• *Active TS/SCI is required
• Experience in planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
• In depth understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack and operation.
• Knowledge on WAN technologies and protocols like MPLS, MPLS based VPNs, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, Multicast.
• Knowledge in architecting and/or managing large-scale, high performing and resilient Enterprise networking solutions.
• Knowledge on Linux administration.
• Shell scripting, python scripting knowledge.
• Travel may be required to support customers on site
• Desired Skills:
  • Operational knowledge on next gen firewalls/UTMs, IDS/IPS and malware prevention systems.
  • Knowledge on best practices architectures for SaaS applications.
  • Hands-on experience in public and private cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMware.
• Competencies:
  • Great analytical thinking.
  • Ability to think full stack when it comes to problem solving.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Excellent hands-on skills in deploying and troubleshooting complex networks.
  • Willingness to help customers, peers and other team members at any time.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range of $200,000 to $280,000. A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
