Job summary

BTI Security is seeking a qualified Security Professional in Huntsville, AL to protect federal property and personnel. The role includes access control, surveillance monitoring, incident reporting, and emergency response duties.

Responsibilities include operating magnetometer and X-ray screening equipment, conducting roving patrols, and ensuring contract credential compliance, while communicating clearly with a supervisor and team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be able to obtain suitability/clearance
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with honorable military discharge
• Social Security Card issued by SSA
• 2+ years security (armed) or 1+ year law enforcement in full-duty status
• 2+ years service in U.S. Armed Forces with honorable discharge
• Must fluently speak/read/comprehend English and write reports in English
• Must be able to qualify with revolver or semi-automatic
• Strong knowledge of the security industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service mindset
• Effective communication to all levels of internal/external customers

Responsibilities

• Protect principals and property as directed
• Perform federal building access control and ID checks
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activity
• Provide detailed daily reports of incidents
• Operate magnetometer and X-ray screening equipment
• Use two-way radios for clear, concise communication
• Respond to emergencies with sound judgment
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed
• Maintain credentials per contract requirements
• Execute other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Project Manager
