Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a SAP Interface SME to drive analysis, design, and development of interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and external trading partner systems. This role demands a rare blend of business-process understanding and hands-on technical design and mapping.

You will lead engineering lifecycles to connect the agency’s SAP solution to the broader federal ecosystem, operating across finance, supply chain, and asset management domains.

Qualifications

• 6+ years IT experience with interface/integration design in federal ERP environment
• Strong understanding of external agency trading partner systems
• Hands-on experience with SAP integration middleware (SAP PO, CPI/Integration Suite, EDI, ALE/IDocs, BAPIs, Web Services)
• Familiarity with data formats, transmission protocols (SFTP, AS2), and security/encryption requirements
• Ability to translate legacy COBOL or flat-file interfaces into SAP S/4HANA-compatible designs

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of legacy interfaces; design end-to-end SAP S/4HANA integrations
• Develop, configure, and data-map using SAP integration technologies
• Partner with external trading to align on ICDs, schemas, testing schedules
• Translate business processes into technical data requirements for transactional integrity
• Lead unit testing, SIT, and end-to-end testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex interface errors
• Maintain ICDs and mapping templates
