Job summary

Cohesity is hiring a Principal, Public Sector Compliance to own the public sector authorization portfolio, including FedRAMP Class C, GovRAMP Moderate, and CMMC levels. You’ll drive continuous monitoring, regulatory transitions, and cross‑functional collaboration to shape a compliant federal product roadmap.

In this role you’ll partner with Engineering, Product, and Federal Sales to expand Cohesity’s federal footprint and industry leadership.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on FedRAMP program experience
• Named ownership of a Cloud Service Provider authorization through multiple full 3PAO assessment cycles at Moderate and High impact levels
• Operational depth in continuous monitoring and POA&M management

Responsibilities

• Own authorization integrity: FedRAMP Class C, GovRAMP Moderate, and CMMC L1/L2 certifications; lead ConMon efforts
• Govern the authorized boundary: manage significant change process and trigger notifications
• Lead regulatory transitions: implement FedRAMP Consolidated Rules and Rev5 conversion recommendations
• Own assessment cycles: interface with third-party assessors for annual FedRAMP, GovRAMP, and CMMC assessments
• Translate compliance into engineering guidance: convert control requirements into acceptance criteria
• Shape the federal offering with Product Management and Federal Sales
• Build AI-enabled compliance: craft machine-readable artifact schemas for automated operations
