Job summary

Chevo LLC is seeking a Federal Engagement & Communications Specialist in the Washington, DC area for a hybrid role with one day per week on-site client engagement. The position focuses on DHS stakeholder engagement, government outreach, and trusted advisor activities.

You will craft content, talking points, and marketing materials for public engagements while coordinating with senior leaders. A strong background in government communications and branding is expected.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. required.
• 10 Years of Experience Supporting the Federal Government.
• Experience with Stakeholder Engagement/Communications Projects is a plus.
• Experience supporting DHS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop draft content, messaging, and communication products for Government outreach.
• Prepare draft talking points, presentation materials, and marketing content for public engagements and senior leader briefings.
• Draft media releases, social media toolkits, and fact sheets to support communications activities.
• Create graphic design assets and layouts, applying approved branding standards for consistency.
• Support stakeholder mapping and partnership engagement with Federal agencies and SLTT partners.

Chevo is hiring an experienced Federal Engagement & Communications Specialist to join our expanding firm in the Washington, DC area. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and becoming a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to DHS Stakeholder Engagement and Communications. This position provides a hybrid work environment, with 1-day per week client engagement expected. Client site located in the Washington DC metro area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop draft content, messaging, and communication products (email, blog, social media, print) supporting Government outreach efforts.
• Prepare draft talking points, presentation materials, and marketing content for public engagements and senior leader briefings.
• Draft media releases, social media toolkits, and fact sheets to support communications activities.
• Create graphic design assets and layouts, applying approved branding standards for consistency.
• Support stakeholder mapping and partnership engagement with other Federal agencies as well as State, Local, Tribal and Territorial (SLTT) partners.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. required
• 10 Years of Experience Supporting the Federal Government

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience working on Stakeholder Engagement/Communications Projects a plus
• Previous experience supporting DHS

SALARY RANGE: $105K To $123K (subject to change)
