Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service protects facilities and venues secured for protectees and assigns Uniformed Division Officers to this mission. You will safeguard the White House complex, the Vice President's residence, and other designated sites, and travel in support of presidents, heads of state, and foreign missions.

Relocation to Washington, DC is required. Starting salary is LE-01 at $77,987 with a $50,000 recruitment incentive; appointment is Schedule B limited-term for 3 years and 120 days.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required and able to work without sponsorship.
• Must be at least 20 years old at application; referral up to 40th birthday.
• Submit to drug testing and credit checks; pass training at FLETC and Rowley Center.
• Must obtain and retain Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Protect White House complex, VP residence, and designated facilities.
• Travel in support of Presidential, VP, and foreign heads of state missions.
• Enforce protective responsibilities under applicable law.
