We’re seeking a Project Manager with Civil Works experience. The ideal candidate is one who is passionate about developing solutions that address our country’s water challenges through a variety of project types including locks and dams, tidal gates and barriers, floodwalls, piers, wharves, pump stations, treatment facilities, as well as conventional designs for buildings, water, and wastewater infrastructure. As a member of our team, you will lead design projects consisting of multi-discipline teams of engineers and architects from design kick-off through construction. You will primarily support federal projects for DoD clients, Federal Civilian, and various Defense Contractors with Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods. Additional project types include resilient and sustainable waterfront projects including Coastal Engineering/Planning Flood Infrastructure, Flood Modeling/Planning, Ecosystem Restoration, and Shallow/Deep Draft Navigation. You’ll lead projects by effective, skilled project management techniques to enhance the design solutions, leverage project delivering costs, and add value to the business. You’ll play an integral role in forming long-term client relationships, engaging team members on projects, and collaborating with talented resources throughout Jacobs.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, completed on time, within project and construction budgets, and in accordance with agreed scope.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact with the client from beginning to end.
  3. Develop the project proposal fees and scope by coordination with discipline directors and design leads for specific budget and scope definition to then lead in fee negotiations with the client.
  4. Facilitate the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders, and conduct status review meetings among project team members and clients through project execution.
  5. Determine, monitor, and manage: financial project metrics, schedules, and staffing requirements for each project.
  6. Guide the overall development and quality of the project documents and adherence with Jacobs Quality Program.

Here's what you'll need:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture
  2. Experience as a client facing Design Project Manager managing multiple disciplines Civil Works projects
  3. At least 10 years’ relevant professional experience designing civil works infrastructure.
  4. Experience working in a multi-disciplined environment.
  5. Strong organizational skills.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations.
  7. Proactive attitude of taking initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, and eagerness to learn.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  1. Professional Registration (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) is preferred. Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification will be considered.
  2. Civil Works experience with onsite participation in construction activities
  3. Demonstrated design and project management experience within Federal and/or DOD markets
  4. Experience mentoring staff.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum $121,300.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper $170,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $121,300.00 to $170,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
