Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint; testing will validate skills.
• 10-key proficiency for data entry and transactional work.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Teamwork and collaboration across districts and departments.
• Planning, organizing, and prioritizing work to meet daily deadlines.
• Professionalism and confidentiality in financial matters.

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors budgets for federal programs, grants, funds, schools, and departments.
• Reviews budgets against grant periods, funding sources, and applicable requirements.
• Partners with program managers to review financial performance and ensure compliance.
• Prepares financial reports, reconciliations, SEFA schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Supports external audits, Single Audit, and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Assists with training and cross-training within the Budget Department.
