Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a four-year degree in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, sociology, human relations, business or public administration, with the capacity to apply legal requirements and human relation skills.
• Two years of specialized experience or a master's degree in a related field are required.
• Experience in probation, pretrial services, parole, or corrections is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor persons under supervision to maximize adherence to conditions and reduce risk to the community.
• Conduct home, office, and community visits; respond to situations outside normal hours if needed.
• Make referrals to outside agencies for treatment, employment, or training.
• Investigate sources of income and lifestyle to assess risk and compliance.
• Prepare reports, document case activity, and present findings to the court.
