Qualifications

• Be a current Supervisory Probation Officer or ADCUSPO, with at least one year in the respective position.
• Exercise discretion and sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, foster high ethical standards, and demonstrate integrity in meeting the district’s vision, mission, and goals.
• Have direct management experience in developing, implementing, administering, and evaluating comprehensive results-oriented evidence-based programs, practices, and policies.
• The selected candidate will be required to complete the FJC’s New Deputy Court Unit Executive Program when it becomes available.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages activities within one or more offices. Mentors staff, establishes standards, implements evidence-based programs, evaluates performance, and handles personnel actions.
• Completes periodic status reports, ensures adherence to statutes and guidelines pertaining to pre-sentence matters.
• Facilitates, mediates, and negotiates complex matters with judges, managers, and staff.
• Oversees functions within the Presentence Division, reviews reports to identify problems and trends, and analyzes data to inform policies and practices.
• Communicates and responds to upper management regarding divisional operations, ensuring training and coverage.
